Can I supply my own food?

Under current covid restrictions, you must engage a caterer with a covid-safe plan in place for any catering requirements.

Ordinarily, you can cater for your event however you’d like! The sky is the limit!

Is Blank Space a licenced venue?

We're currently not a licenced venue. BYO options are available for private events with a door list provided. BYO is defined by the client supplying alcohol for the guests - this means there can be no money exchanged for alcohol on the premises, and all liquor laws must still be abided by. If you’re looking at a larger-style event we suggest bringing in an external one-off licence for your event or working with a local Hotel, or engaging a caterer with a licence for alcohol.

What is the capacity of Blank Space?

Under current Covid restrictions we are allowed to have up to 400 people maximum capacity – standard Covid restrictions allow us to have up 1 person per 2m sq. This includes anyone working your event, such as and caterers and servers.

Ordinarily we can host approximately 700 people for a cocktail event, 600 theatre style or 540 for a sit-down function. But let us know what you're after and we'll see if we can make it happen.

Where can my guests park?

To make a nice change, there's plenty of parking around Blank Space! During your event you can park right outside the venue, or there's ample street parking around Campbell Street for any patrons of Blank Space.

Can we play music?

If it was up to us, you'd HAVE to play music!

How does setting up/packing up work?

As a dry hire venue, this is completely up to you! If there are no surrounding bookings, you’ll have access to the space from midday the day of your event giving you plenty of time to set up.

You’ll have until 10am the following day to pack up your event, unless there’s an early morning booking the following day (such as markets), in which case we can have a cleaning crew pack down your event for a small fee if you’d prefer not to do this yourself, and you can collect anything from the venue afterwards at an arranged time.

What time do you close?

What if I need to cancel?

In the event of cancellation or a change of date, all deposits will be forfeited, unless COVID restrictions in Toowoomba prevent your event from going ahead as planned.
